There's been complaints of viruses on classroom computers. The only software that has been authorised onto classroom computers are original textbook CDs and CD ROMS. Uploading unauthorised software is not permitted. PLEASE, PLEASE do not upload anything onto classroom computers. If you have something you'd like to use, then you may use your own computer with the projectors remembering to take care in switching cables.
TAKE YOUR TIME to unscrew from classroom computers and take equal time to screw them back in. There have been more complaints regarding damaged pins on cables. The last thing I want to do is stop people from using the IT in classrooms, but we all rely on each other to show due respect for this equipment.
I encourage you to see me with software, so that I can screen it. If it is clean and appropriate to your lesson plans, I can upload in onto the teacher website for others to download.
In due course all classroom computers are going to be scrubbed clean.
Thank you for your attention.
PLEASE NOTE: any non textbook related material that you want to use in the classroom whether it be software, websites, reading material, classes off campus, etc. must get approval from David P first. Please email him the details and reasons for providing that material in advance of usage, the earlier the better. After his approval, you can add it to your lesson plans.
